Eric Goss | Owner, Creative Director, and Master Stylist

In 2008, Eric left an extensive and successful career in retail after his partner Justin encouraged him to take the steps to try a new path, one that had always interested the Mississippi native. Today, after a thorough apprenticeship and years spent working in Birmingham’s best salons, Eric is revered as a top stylist in Birmingham and throughout the South. Eric is an artist, as anyone who has worked with him can affirm, so he finds his passion and drive in the clients he meets and works with daily. “I love connecting with clients,” he says. “This allows me to be more creative with their hair, and the more a client feels comfortable, the more relaxed they’ll be. Then, I get to do what I love.” Whether with scissors in hand or a paintbrush, Eric is an artist who’s committed to improving and pushing himself, his fellow stylists, and the entire team of stylists, colorists, and staff at Hairfolk to new, creative heights. Eric and Justin live in Birmingham with three dogs and a cat.

3 Instagram Accounts Eric Loves

@Oribe – I love their product line, as well as their vision of hair. #oribeobsessed

@Trinitythetuck – I’m obsessed with drag. It’s an art that I feel does not get the credit it’s due. The amount of work, preparation, and talent it takes to make a man resemble a woman is mind-blowing.

@Jeffreydungan – He’s an amazing architect. He’s a visionary. It’s everything I love about design, art, space planning, and transformation.
